General:
Deciduous perennial arising from a creeping rhizome in small clusters.
Leaves:
Elliptic, 20-70 cm long, 5-15 cm wide, pinnately deeply divided; segments entire.

Habitat / Range

Wet to moist gravel bars in the lowland zone (moist in summer, flooded in winter); rare in SW BC, known only from the Sooke River; S to ID and CA .
